Job Vacancy - Executive Manager MWHS

We are currently recruiting for a Executive Manager for MWHS

Job Purpose Manage the day to day operational activities in line with all health and safety, environmental and company procedures, legislative requirements, budgetary costs and Mosque community needs in line with the required customer service criteria and key performance indicators.


The successful candidate is expected to:

  • Be responsible for all health and safety and child protection compliance. Make sure all activities and operation are conducted accordingly.

  • Co-ordinate all activities including schools, study circles, daily prayers, the Friday sermons, Eid, Taraweeh...etc.

  • Assist in forming an executive committee to meet the needs of the centre and chair its meetings.

  • Develop internal policies, annual plan and budget of the centre in collaboration with the executive committee.

  • Line manage paid and voluntary staff as assigned by the board.

  • Make sure that each position/role in the centre has an approved job description by management board

  • Look after the Muslim community – accommodating their educational, social and welfare needs.

  • Strengthen links with other faith and non-faith organisations and organise shared activities.

  • Collect the accommodation rents, Friday collections, building hire costs, donations (sadaqa & zakat) and keeping separate records. Money to be paid into the MWHS Bank account.

  • Assist in raising funds to meet the centre needs.

  • Respond to all correspondence and represent the centre with outside agencies.

  • Make sure all activities with their expenses are documented.

  • Look after the accommodation at Nos. 8, 10 and 12 Severn Road, making sure that all the rooms are fit, clean and all the utilities are in a good state of repair.

  • Keep up the structural maintenance of the buildings. Make sure all repairs are carried out to a high standard by professional traders.

  • Set up and maintain an inventory of the centre’s utilities, assets and resources. Produce a quarterly report for activities and expenses with receipts as well as any required reports to the Board.

  • Attend quarterly meetings with the board and liaise with its chairman.

  • Undertake any duties assigned by the board in accordance with the needs of the organisation.

  • Manage a flexible work schedule based on Islamic events and community activities.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications


  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

  • Previous supervisory/management experience.

  • Knowledge of Islamic disciplines and texts.

  • Ability to speak and write English.

  • Excellent communications Skills.


  • Diploma/Bachelor.

  • Ability to speak and write Arabic.
